The old Maytag number for this dryer roller (support) was 303373. It goes in the rear of the dryer and when it starts to go bad the dryer will sound like there is a tennis shoe in it even when empty! When replacing one, it’s always a good idea to replace the other.
This 330031 surface unit receptacle kit can be used with most plug-in type burners. It comes with two different brackets, ceramic wire nuts, heat shrink tubing, and wire. Alternate part numbers: 5303935058, ERR117, WB17X210.
The contacts in this receptacle can stretch apart over time and this causes electrical arcing between the surface unit and the receptacle. If you see burned, pitted marks in the end of your surface unit you’ll know this has happened.
GE’s part number WE1M481 has been replaced by new part number WE1M507. This dryer drum slide is green, roughly 2-1/2 inches long, with a hole in one end. They are sold individually but most dryers that use this slide have two along with two white ones (part number for white slides is WE1M504). They go into the plastic bearing that is in the top, front of the dryer (part number for big, plastic bearing is WE3M26).
If I were replacing one slide, I would replace them all. Usually a new bearing (WE3M26) isn’t necessary. However, if the bearings are kept up, the bearing will wear out quickly.
We stock this blower wheel two different ways, both in generic and original Whirlpool (the parent company of Maytag now). For our generic version, we just stuck with the old Maytag number 303836. Whirlpool had to add something to the number… Y303836.
If your range or cooktop has surface units that plug-in and fit into a chrome bowl that’s one piece (pictures make this easier), there’s a great chance that the universal style range replacements on this page will work for you. These drip bowls fit many Whirlpool, Maytag, Magic Chef and Brown stove models.
We sell the large (roughly 8 inches in diameter) drip bowl under part number DP8BR and the smaller one (roughly 6 inches in diameter) under part number DP6BR. If this bowl doesn’t look like the one you have, check with your model number here.
Whirlpool’s 279838 dryer element has become the most popular dryer element we sell. You should be able to tell if it’s bad with a meter (checking for continuity) or by looking for a burned out spot. Usually the element wire actually breaks in two when it goes bad. The 279838 element is 240 Volts and 5400 Watts with 5/16″ terminals.
Sometimes we are asked for an adapter to go from an old 3 wire plug to a new 4 wire receptacle… I don’t believe there is such a thing! But changing the cord on the dryer is not that difficult. Here are some of the dryer cords and receptacles we keep in stock.
The 4 Ft. cords are our most popular but we also stock some longer versions.
Here’s a list of the cords we keep in stock: DC304 (4 Ft 3 Wire) DC305 (5 Ft 3 Wire) DC306 (6 Ft 3 Wire) DC310 (10 Ft 3 Wire) DC1004 (4 Ft 4 Wire) DC1005 (5 Ft 4 Wire) DC1006 (6 Ft 4 Wire) DC1010 (10 Ft 4 Wire)
When Wirlpool purchased the Maytag company, they started changing part numbers and prices almost immediately. Maytag’s most popular dryer drum belt was no exception. Belt number 312959 is now Y312959 (and may be something else by the time you see this!). We stock this belt in the Whirlpool bag and in the aftermarket bag. Both are good, quality belts and we haven’t had a problem with either. Use your model number here to find out if this is the belt for you.
This round carborundum ignitor from Whirlpool has a 3-1/2″ body with 9″ wires and an amperage range from 2.5 to 3 amps. The 4342528 ignitor can be replaced with a less expensive model from Frigidaire: 5304401265 (less expensive here at the moment- it’s always good to compare prices when ordering).
The ends are different on the 5304401265 ignitor but it does come with porcelain wire nuts so you can use it no matter what the existing plug looks like. Alternate part #’s GR403 RGB2 41-208.
There was a time when most people wouldn’t even consider using a generic replacement for Whirlpool’s 3363394 direct drive washer pump. Those days are gone, however, as the aftermarket slowly catches up to the quality of the OEM pump. It’s nice to have a choice anyway!
This Whirlpool direct drive washer pump has one small hole and one large hole – no check valve. If you need the direct drive pump with the check valve in one side use part # 3363892. 5303308194, WH23X10018, WH23X80, LP116. It was used in many Sears / Kenmore direct drive top-load washers also.
